"Regarding the invitation to Moscow, the Ukrainian president spoke quite unambiguously yesterday. For us, this is a sign of Russia's unwillingness to meet," he said.
According to him, Russia is demonstrating that it is not ready to meet.
"The proposal is not serious from the very beginning, it is aimed at blocking the leaders' meeting. We are conveying this to our partners, especially the American side, showing that Russia, unfortunately, continues to refuse the meeting, but the fact that they allow possible meetings in principle is still a move in the right direction, that is, they have some understanding that this meeting is necessary," G. Tykhy emphasized.
He noted that a meeting of leaders in a bilateral or trilateral format is needed. G. Tykhyi also recalled that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said that at least 7 countries are now ready to receive the leaders of Ukraine and Russia or other leaders.
"There are serious proposals on the table and there are currently ideas that aim to pretend that something is moving somewhere and Russia is ready for it, but in fact they are presenting deliberately unrealistic proposals, because everyone understands that Moscow is not an acceptable place for a meeting of leaders," said a representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
G. Tykhyi also emphasized that V. Putin's statements that Russia should also have security guarantees after the war are very strange.
"I have a question: Russia's security guarantees against what? From itself? This is absurd. Russia's arrogance simply knows no bounds," the Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized.
Meeting between V. Zelensky and V. Putin
As UNIAN previously reported, Russian dictator V. Putin said that he is now ready to meet with Ukrainian President V. Zelensky, but there is a condition that it must take place in Moscow. He noted that US President D. Trump asked him to organize such a meeting. At the same time, he added that if V. Zelensky is ready, let him come to Moscow and such a meeting will take place.

At that time, Zelensky noted that a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia is necessary to end the war. According to him, such an invitation to Moscow shows that Putin wants the meeting not to take place. At the same time, he emphasized that"adult leaders" should leave a meeting of this level with a result, preferably an end to the war.
"The best place to meet is the city of heroes, Moscow," Putin said, stressing that he was ready to meet with Zelensky.
"I said: 'Ready, come.' We will definitely provide working conditions and security - a 100% guarantee. But if we are told: 'We want to meet with you,' these are just excessive requests addressed to us. If someone really wants to meet with us, we are ready. The best place for this is the capital of the Russian Federation, the city of heroes, Moscow," Putin emphasized, Meduza reported.
