President of the United States Donald Trump predicted that the party of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will win again in the next parliamentary elections, and with an even better result than in the previous ones. The head of the White House said this during speech in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

"Victor. We love Victor... You're fantastic. I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I'm the only one who matters," Trump said, addressing the Hungarian prime minister.

The US president recalled that he supported Orbán in the last election, which he won"by a margin of 28 points."

"I supported him in the last election, and he won by 28 points. Now you have another election. So this time you will achieve even better results. We appreciate that and we support you 100%," Trump said.

Elections in Hungary

As is known, the next parliamentary elections in Hungary are due to be held in the spring of 2026. UNIAN wrote that Orban risks losing power due to the significant increase in the popularity of opposition forces in the country.

According to sociological polls conducted in the summer of 2025, the Hungarian opposition party"Tisa" not only bypassed the ruling party "Fidesz", but also gained a fairly significant advantage over it - about 15%. Thus, the poll showed that 51% of voters are ready to vote for"Tisa", while for"Fidesz" - only 36%. In March, the same sociological group recorded the advantage of"Tisa" at 9%.

The Tisza Party is a very young party, led by experienced politician Peter Magyar, who previously served in Orban's government. Tisza focuses its political campaign on issues of healthcare and education.
