According to the Croatian media, half a million people are expected at the Hippodrome in Zagreb for Marko Perković Thompson's concert, and a large number of Croats have already arrived at the place where the concert will be held tonight.
Everyone wears black clothes, berets, Croatian flags and t-shirts with Croatian motifs and shout:"Ready for home!"
Many songs at his concerts begin with the Ustasha greeting "Ready for home".
The lyrics of his songs celebrate the history of NDH and the action of the Storm.
"Slobodna Dalmacija" characterized his concert at last year's commemoration of the Storm as an "Ustasha dernek".
Thompson announced before the concert
Marko Perković Thompson announced himself on his Facebook profile before the concert, and sent a message to the fans arriving at the concert.
"See you at the Hippodrome. Let's take care of each other," he wrote.
Otherwise, the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vienna issued a warning for Austrian citizens traveling to Croatia before the mentioned concert, with a message to follow the advice and recommendations of the authorities.
Ticket price 96 dinars
As the media reports, on the official website for ticket sales it is written that tickets for the ground floor at Thompson's concert are incredibly cheap, almost free. According to information from the official website, the price for two tickets for the ground floor (the part in front of the stage where about 300,000 people stand) is only 193 dinars, which means that one ticket costs about 96 dinars.
The tickets for the fan pit and stands were also not expensive. In the beginning, their price was from two to three thousand dinars for two tickets.
Last warning to citizens before the concert
- Last night we had a dress rehearsal and the Freedom Bridge was covered with cars. If your vehicle prevents the emergency service from passing, there will be no mercy - the vehicles will be removed, not at the Hippodrome, but at specially designated locations, they said.
"Use SMS messages instead of calls"
- Due to the huge number of people, network overload is possible. We ask citizens, if they must communicate, to use SMS messages in order to avoid blocking communication with emergency services, they added for Index.hr.
