Russian forces attacked two places in the Zaporozhye region with drones and artillery

Russian troops attacked Hulyajpolje and Bilenka in the Zaporozhye region with artillery and drones, and fires broke out after the attack, Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporozhye regional military administration, announced today on his Telegram channel.

"As a result of the attack by Russian drones, three auxiliary buildings caught fire in a private yard in Hulyajpolje," Fedorov announced, reports Ukrinform.

The Ukrainian news agency states that Russian forces also attacked the village of Bilenke in the Zaporozhye district, and that a fire broke out in that village and covered an area of 2.5 hectares, but no one was injured.

The report also says that one person was wounded in an earlier Russian attack on Kherson.

In a one-week period, from June 30 to July 7, Russian forces carried out five attacks on recruitment centers in the cities of Kryvyi Rih, Poltava, Kremenchuk, Kharkiv and Zaporozhye, damaging infrastructure and causing civilian and military casualties.

Zelensky approved the new composition of the National Security and Defense Council

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky approved the new composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

"In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the President made a decision to approve the personnel composition of the Council for National Security and Defense, which consists of the President of the Council for National Security and Defense Volodymyr Zelensky, Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko, Minister of Energy Svetlana Grinchuk and Chief of Staff of the President Andriy Yermak," according to a statement published on the website of the Ukrainian President.

The National Security and Defense Council includes the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Anatoliy Zagorodnyi, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleg Ivashchenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko, the Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko, the Minister of Health, Viktor Lyashko, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, the Minister of Finance, Sergej Marchenko, the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (with consent), Andriy Pishny, and the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service, Filip Pronin, the statement added.

The Council for Security and Defense also includes the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiha, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Sirsky, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksiy Sobolev, President of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Secretary of the Council for Security and Suppression of Nations Rustem Umerov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation Mihailo Fedorov and Minister of Defense Denis Shmihalj, reports Ukrinform.

On July 17, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted on a proposal to appoint a new cabinet of ministers.

A woman died in the Kherson region

A civilian was killed in a mine explosion in Berislav, Kherson region, announced Aleksandar Prokudin, head of the Military Administration of Kherson region.

A 65-year-old woman stepped on a mine yesterday, which caused an explosion. She suffered fatal injuries.

"A resident of Berislav was killed due to a mine explosion. The tragedy happened last night. As a result of the detonation, a six-five-year-old woman received fatal injuries."
