Germany has fulfilled agreements to strengthen Ukraine's air defense with Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on, Ukrinform reports.

We have strengthened the Patriot component of our Ukrainian air defense. I thank Germany and personally Chancellor Friedrich Merz for this joint step of ours to protect lives from Russian terror. We have been preparing this strengthening of air defense for some time, and now the agreements reached have been implemented, - the head of state noted.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone who helped.

Air strikes, he emphasized, are the main stake of Russian leader Vladimir Putin in this war, it is through terror that the Russian dictator wants to compensate for the inability to achieve his crazy goals on the ground.

"Therefore, every strengthening of our air defense literally brings us closer to the end of the war, which we are all waiting for. The less Russia succeeds, the greater its motive will be to end the war," the President is convinced.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine continues to work with partners to build a reliable PPO system.

And our capabilities will be able to guarantee the security not only of Ukraine, but also of our partners, when necessary. Since our security is indivisible, our air defense must protect all of us. Negotiations on further joint steps to strengthen air defense are ongoing both at the government level and directly with the manufacturers of the necessary systems. There will be further results, he said.

As Ukrinform reported, the German Aid to Ukraine project stated that Ukraine would receive two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems promised by Germany in the coming days.
