President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Serhii Lysak as head of the newly established Odesa City Military Administration.
This came about after the president had stripped Ukrainian citizenship from individuals found to hold Russian passports, including, reportedly, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Lysak had previously served as head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
Zelensky announced on Tuesday that a city military administration would be established in Odesa.
According to a presidential decree posted on the official website, Lysak’s appointment was formalized under Decree No. 119/2025-rp “To appoint Serhii Petrovych Lysak Head of the Odesa City Military Administration of the Odesa district of the Odesa region,” the document states.
