Europe hopes that Russia will become the main obstacle on Trump's path to the Nobel Peace Prize, because a real peace agreement is impossible without weakening Russia's ambitions.

At the same time, analysts warn that Trump's excessive focus on loud headlines could play against Ukraine's interests. There is a risk that Washington will focus not on lasting security guarantees, but on a"pretty picture" in which the greatest compromises and concessions will fall on Kiev's shoulders.

Europe insists that the US should support long-term security mechanisms, rather than limiting itself to formal agreements. The publication says that"even if there is a minimal chance of winning the Nobel Peace Prize, such a gesture can play a certain role."

In Trump's Florida residence, where the president is carefully monitoring his international image, such an initiative may be viewed positively. But for Europe, it could be one of the main ways to get the White House to be more actively involved in the search for peace, which would be more beneficial to Ukraine than to Russia.
