President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was welcomed at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by Dutch officials, as well as Türkiye's Permanent Representative to NATO Basat Öztürk and Ambassador to The Hague Selçuk Ünal.

Following the welcome, Erdoğan departed for The Hague, where the summit will be held.

President Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Director of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın, Director of Presidential Communications Fahrettin Altun and Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç also arrived in the Netherlands.

At the summit, where President Erdoğan is expected to hold bilateral talks with some heads of state and government, there will be a strategic exchange of views on threats and risks to the Euro-Atlantic region.

The main agenda of the summit will be a new defense investment commitment to increase allies' defense spending to the level required by the current security environment.

The summit will also assess NATO's efforts in the field of deterrence and defense against key threats identified by NATO.
