Washington. Donald Trump's summit with European leaders to discuss how to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine has concluded, The Guardian reported.

Trump met at the White House with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky; NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte; European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen; British Prime Minister Keir Starmer; Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni; Finnish President Alexander Stubb; German Chancellor Friedrich Merz; and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Trump reportedly indicated that he had"begun" to coordinate a meeting with Zelensky and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, and asserted that Europe would provide security for Ukraine, and the United States would coordinate it, AFP reported.

During the meeting, Trump interrupted the White House meeting to call his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in an effort to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.
