The Crown Prince departed for Washington on Monday for the official visit, which is expected to include the signing of several deals and agreements.

Both sides will showcase the deep level of commitment to their partnership with a business forum set to be held the day after the Crown Prince meets Trump.

On Monday, the president said the US would sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.

“They want to buy it, they’ve been a great ally,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. He then added: “Yeah, I will say that we will be doing that. We’ll be selling F-35s.”

The Crown Prince’s visit to the US follows a historic trip made by Trump earlier this year to the Kingdom and the Gulf region.

The US president visited Riyadh in May in his first official foreign trip after taking office for a second term.
