US President Donald Trump said that Israeli hostages held by the radical Palestinian group Hamas in the Gaza Strip should be released on October 13 or 14. This was reported by Reuters, quoted by BTA.

Trump added that he hopes to attend the official signing ceremony of the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas in Egypt.

The US President opened a cabinet meeting at the White House to discuss an agreement reached last night, under which the hostages in Gaza must be released.

This is enshrined in the agreed first phase of the ceasefire agreement under the peace plan.

The American president believes this will lead to"lasting peace."
