Swiatek won her sixth Grand Slam singles title, triumphed at Roland Garros four times and once won the US Open.

Swiatek confirmed her 100% record in finals at the Big Four events by winning her sixth title match. The Pole will collect a bonus of 3 million pounds (approximately 3.5 million euros) before tax thanks to Saturday's triumph.

She will gain 2,000 points in the WTA rankings and will be ranked third in Monday's edition. The list of Wimbledon singles winners has been joined by a new name for the eighth time in a row. The last time she managed to defend her title was American Serena Williams (2015, 2016).

Swiatek became the first Polish woman to win the Wimbledon title in the Open era (since 1968). In 2012, Agnieszka Radwanska lost to Serena Williams in the final. She also recorded her 100th singles victory at Grand Slam tournaments (from 120 matches).

After seven years on the grass of the All England Club, she again lifted the winning trophy, having succeeded as a junior. The 24-year-old Pole achieved the first grass title of her career and the first at any level since last year's Roland Garros.

Despite losing in the final, Anisimov achieved a life-changing feat at Wimbledon. The 23-year-old became the first American to reach the final of the most prestigious grass-court tennis event since Serena Williams in 2019.

Despite Saturday's setback, he will be in the world's top ten for the first time on Monday, jumping from 12th to 7th place.

Swiatek had a great start to the match, breaking her opponent in the first game and confirming it with her own serve.

The American was clearly playing her first Grand Slam final and made a lot of unforced errors. The Polish favorite was able to capitalize on this, winning the next four games and giving her opponent a"canary" in 25 minutes.

The beginning of the second set also belonged to Swiatek, who took Anisimov's serve identically. The American continued to make a lot of mistakes, had four times more unforced errors than her opponent, and quickly gained a 0:3 deficit.

The former world number one reigned supreme on the court, and Anisimov failed to break even in the eleventh game of the duel. The Pole did not let go of the chance to win her first Wimbledon title and used the second match point in the twelfth game.

The duel lasted only 57 minutes and was the most dominant final in the history of the tournament. It has never happened that the defeated tennis player did not win a single game in the battle for the title.

Swiateková thus defeated Anisimov in their first meeting on the circuit. The two had already met once in junior age, and Swiateková defeated Anisimov there as well.

It was in 2016 in the junior Fed Cup (currently the junior Billie-Jean King Cup).

"Regardless of how the final went for you, you have to be proud of your performance in this tournament," Swiatek said of Anisimov."I never dreamed of it.

"I'm probably a more experienced player now, having won Grand Slams in the past. But winning Wimbledon is something else again. Even though I've had ups and downs, it shows that we're going in the right direction."

The Pole became the eighth player in the Open era to win a Grand Slam title on three surfaces. She is now just one short of a triumph at the Australian Open.

Anisimov was overcome with emotion after losing her first Grand Slam final:"I will never forget this experience. Thank you to my team and family for supporting me. You were an extra motivation for me and pushed me forward.

"I ran out of energy today, but you were still there for me. Special thanks to my mom who flew in today. I didn't offer much today and it's up to me to keep working," she said in her celebration speech.

In the interview, she also praised her opponent:"You are an incredibly successful and high-quality tennis player. You have had an amazing two weeks, you played your first Wimbledon final, it must be a tremendous experience and a great success for you."
