Pending the release of the hostages, confirmed for Monday morning by the Israeli main coordinator for the return of the captives, Gal Hir, the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh is preparing to host the same day the Gaza Peace Summit, co-chaired by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
According to the Egyptian Presidency, more than 20 world leaders have confirmed their attendance at this meeting, the main objective of which is to sign an agreement that will end the war in the Palestinian enclave and lay the foundations for a new stage of stability and security in the Middle East.
This first phase of the agreement also includes the entry of more humanitarian aid into Gaza and the return of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, so Hamas terrorists have until noon on Monday local time (09:00 GMT) to release all captives, both alive and dead, who are still in the Strip.
