US President Donald Trump announced the destruction of a large submarine loaded with drugs that was on its way to the United States, explaining that two out of four drug dealers were killed in the operation.
"It was a great honor to destroy a very large submarine carrying drugs that was headed to the United States via a known drug smuggling route," he wrote on the social networking site Truth Social.
Trump confirmed that"no American forces were harmed in this strike."
He added,"US intelligence has confirmed that this submarine was mostly loaded with fentanyl and other illegal drugs, and that four known drug traffickers were on board. Two of them were killed, and the survivors will be returned to their countries of origin—Ecuador and Colombia—for arrest and prosecution."
Trump explained that "at least 25,000 Americans will die if this submarine is allowed to dock," saying,"Under my watch, the United States of America will not tolerate narco-terrorists, on land or at sea."
