After a visit to the municipalities of Huachinango and La Ceiba, in Puebla, as well as Poza Rica, in Veracruz, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that the three levels of government are addressing the emergency caused by rain in affected communities, where air bridges have been established to deliver aid and carry out medical transfers.
From the Permanent Command Center in Veracruz, he explained that Poza Rica and Álamo are the most affected urban areas in that state, and he announced that next Monday, October 13, the cleaning work will begin with greater intensity and the house-to-house census, by the Secretariat of Welfare.
“The message to the population: we know there is a lot of despair and concern; we are going to help everyone. The cleanup work will be carried out with full force, without sparing any resources,” he said.

He assured that no one will be left helpless and that"we are going to be here in Poza Rica for a while and we will be returning during the week" in communication with Governor Rocío Nahle.
In the case of the people who lost their lives, she indicated, there is a protocol to be able to have all the information through the State Attorney General's Office, and as for the relatives with people who are still missing, the federal President asked them to call the telephone number 079.
"All the information is being provided transparently, and we will be serving all families," he added.

Sheinbaum visits Poza Rica to assess the effects of heavy rains.
This afternoon, the President visited Poza Rica, accompanied by the state leader, Rocío Nahle, where she assured that everyone will be attended to and that nothing will be hidden; this, following complaints from citizens who questioned the authorities' inaction and omissions in the search for missing persons following the rains.
"Do you think I would be here if we minimized it?" Sheinbaum Pardo asked a group of victims."Are they going to hear me or not?" she said in response to constant interruptions during a tour.
