Putin briefed Trump on the implementation of the Istanbul agreements, but made no mention of a possible third round of negotiations. Nevertheless, the Kremlin appears ready to continue the discussions.

According to the Kremlin, the issue of suspending US military aid to Ukraine was not raised, and the two men did not discuss a possible private meeting. However, they agreed to keep a channel of communication open, with Ushakov noting that peace talks on Ukraine are taking place between Moscow and Kiev and that the US understands this.
