JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A number of DPR members who recently issued controversial statements and actions were suspended by their respective parties.

The reason is, their statements and attitudes are suspected of triggering public anger, starting from dancing when people are in trouble, calling people stupid, to defending the hundreds of millions of rupiah in allowances received by DPR members.

The community finally held large-scale demonstrations in various regions.

In fact, this demonstration has claimed lives.

In addition, looting of houses and burning of public facilities also occurred everywhere.

The following are a number of parties that have suspended their cadres who are considered to have triggered public anger.

Nasdem

The Nasdem Party decided to suspend Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach from the Indonesian House of Representatives.

The decision was signed directly by the General Chairman of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh, and the Secretary General of the Nasdem Party, Hermawi Taslim, on Sunday (31/8/2025).

Both of them will no longer be active members of the Indonesian House of Representatives as of September 1, 2025.

"Based on the considerations above, the DPP of the NasDem Party hereby declares that effective Monday, September 1, 2025, the DPP of the NasDem Party has deactivated Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach as members of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the NasDem Party faction," said Hermawi in his official statement, Sunday.

Hermawi said that the aspirations of the people are the main reference for the Nasdem Party.

However, Hermawi said, during the journey of guarding the aspirations of the people, there were Nasdem cadres whose statements hurt public feelings.

According to him, their actions are not in line with the face of Nasdem's struggle.

"This is a deviation from the NasDem Party's struggle," he said.
