What the Bolsonaros are doing isn't politics. It's a crime! It's treason! Jair and Eduardo Bolsonaro—and all their supporters—are using a tariff hike imposed by Donald Trump against Brazil as blackmail to try to prevent justice from being served and the criminals behind the coup being punished. This is disgusting. It's shameful. And it must be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.
Trump imposed 50% tariffs on Brazilian products to"protest" Supreme Court decisions. And what does Eduardo do? He takes to social media to thank the aggressor, encourages followers to flatter him, and threatens Brazil with"economic chaos" if the Judiciary doesn't back down. This isn't an opinion; it's a vile attempt at international coercion. Anyone who engages in this isn't defending any country—they're selling the country's sovereignty in exchange for impunity.
Worse still: there are suspicions that these tariff hikes are part of a broader scheme, a coup orchestrated not only to pressure the Supreme Federal Court (STF) but also to enrich friends and allies of the coup plotters, betting on speculation and the dismantling of our economy. A double crime: against democracy and against the people's pockets.
Jair Bolsonaro continues to play the victim, but the whole world knows: he masterminded a coup. There's evidence, videos, testimonies, and even assassination plots against Lula, Moraes, and Alckmin. He's a dangerous enemy of democracy—and of life.
It's not just the judiciary that's under attack. It's Brazil itself. They want the people to suffer so they can escape jail amidst the chaos. But the people are paying attention. The Supreme Federal Court acted correctly with ankle bracelets, restrictions, and forced silence. And it needs to go further.
Jail now for Jair and Eduardo Bolsonaro!
For conspiracy, for treason, for economic sabotage and for turning national sovereignty into a bargaining chip.
We will not accept blackmail or submission to any fascist. Brazil has people, dignity, justice, and a president. And whoever tried to destroy all of this must pay—with prison.
