US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Washington was"very close" to reaching an agreement with Ukraine and Russia to end their nearly four-year war.

“We will get it done,” Trump declared at a pre-Thanksgiving event at the White House. “So I think we’re very close to a deal.”

“We are working on it. In the last month, Russia and Ukraine lost 25,000 troops. I think we are very close to an agreement, we'll see. I thought it was going to be easier, but we are making progress,” Trump stated.
