A well-known conservative activist and close ally of US President Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk, was wounded in a shooting during an event in the state of Utah.

The news about the incident was confirmed by Trump himself, who announced himself on social networks.

"We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who was shot. Great guy from head to toe. God bless him," Trump wrote.
