Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Thursday the launch of a new direct air link between Casablanca and Los Angeles starting on June 7, 2026.

This unprecedented air route, the first direct connection (in 12 hours) between Africa and the Pacific coast of the United States, represents a major step forward in the development of the national airline's long-haul network, RAM said in a statement.

Three frequencies per week

Operated with three weekly flights, this new route responds to a growing demand for intercontinental mobility, on the eve of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It is aimed at the Moroccan and African diasporas, American tourists, as well as Moroccan, African and European business travelers and supporters wishing to travel to the United States for this global event, it is said.

The flights will be operated on board Boeing 787 Dreamliners, modern aircraft renowned for their comfort, performance, and cutting-edge technology. Passengers will enjoy high-quality onboard service, a variety of individual entertainment options, and an excellent level of comfort ideal for long-haul journeys.

The flight schedule includes departures from Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a takeoff at 04:00 and an arrival in Los Angeles at 08:20. From Los Angeles, flights take off at 10:20 for an arrival in Casablanca at 05:25 the following day.

Tickets will go on sale from Thursday, December 4, 2025, on the Royal Air Maroc website, via the company's call centers and sales offices, as well as throughout the network of partner travel agencies, the statement emphasizes.

For Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, this direct route to Los Angeles is much more than a new destination. It is a historic milestone for the airline and for air connectivity on the African continent. It illustrates our ambition to bring Morocco closer to the world's major economic, tourist, and cultural hubs, while supporting the Kingdom's international openness.

As a key player in national tourism, Royal Air Maroc is thus contributing to strengthening the visibility of Morocco as a destination in the American market, one of the most important sources of travelers, notes the CEO of RAM.
