MALE: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi met with Maldivian Chief of Defense Force Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Hilmy in Male on Monday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for partnership to address emerging regional security challenges and to strengthen the readiness of Maldivian personnel, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The talks highlighted how the Maldives could benefit from the coalition’s initiatives and programs across ideological, military, media, and financial fields, in support of the country’s efforts to combat extremism and enhance national security.
Al-Moghedi also met with Director-General of the National Counter Terrorism Center in the Maldives Wais Waheed.
