- The next elections are getting worse and worse, stupider and stupider, so there really is no better system? - asks the author of the video podcast. He reminds us that the cradle of modern democracy is the United States. The Founding Fathers of the USA were - he emphasizes - quite skeptical when it comes to democracy . - Maybe that's why they referred more often to the traditions of republican Rome than democratic Athens. We will not reach for Plato or Aristotle and their concepts of the system, and their criticism of democracy, because there really is something to criticize it for. And what is a better system than a democratic one? Democracy, but with built-in mechanisms defending the socio-political system against the crowd. The crowd, which in itself might not be the worst, if it were not for the fact that it is constantly incited. By whom? By those who want to use this crowd for their own political purposes. Because the more splendor there is from exercising power, the more economic benefits, the more willingly people try to get to this power, who without this power are not able to do anything on their own. And they are the ones who carry this crowd with them - says Gwiazdowski.

- If we look at this election campaign, which was even worse than the one in 2023, which was even worse than those in 2019 and 2020, which were worse than the previous ones, what can we say about such development of democracy? We elect the authorities who are to govern, but we are not interested in how they will govern at all. We have several important problems in the country: demography, energy, defense, health, investments, especially innovative ones. Were any of these things talked about a lot during the last campaign? I know that these are presidential elections, that the president does not decide, but he has, or at least should have, some views on this subject - says the author of the video podcast.

- None of that. We're just dabbling in the past - he adds.
