Israeli Attacks on Iran

Conflict Analysis and Updates

Traffic jams have formed on the roads leading out of the Iranian capital, and kilometers-long lines can be seen at gas stations today.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Saturday that"Tehran will be in flames" if Iran continues its missile attacks on civilian areas in Israel. Today, the minister warned again on the"X" platform that the people of Tehran will soon pay for the attacks that killed civilians in Israel.

Many people from Tehran have fled to eastern Iran, which is still considered relatively safe. In the west of the country, where there are many military facilities along the border, Israel is actively carrying out air strikes.

Many people have also taken refuge in northern Iran near the Caspian Sea, where it is also relatively calm.

A 35-year-old teacher from Tehran told the DPA news agency that he and his family had traveled to Rasht on the Caspian Sea. Instead of the usual four hours, they had spent a whole day on the road because all the roads leading out of the capital were congested. He added that the situation in Rasht was also not good - shops were crowded and food was scarce, and rental prices had risen sharply.

Others from Tehran are trying to reach foreign countries, including Turkey and Azerbaijan, but many do not have the financial or physical means to escape to safer places.
