Ukrainian special forces counteroffensive in Pokrovsk. Moscow calls it"foiled." But Kiev denies it.

Ukrainian special forces with the Central Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in Kyiv (GUR) have launched a complex amphibious infiltration operation in Pokrovsk, to carry out a counterattack and attempt to break the Russian siege of the city of Donetsk, in Donbass. This was reported by the public broadcaster Suspilne. Military intelligence assault teams entered areas of the city considered under Russian control.

It is emphasized that these areas are considered of strategic importance for Ukrainian logistics. Ukrainian Intelligence Director Budanov is on site and is personally directing the operation. Russian forces report defeating the special forces team. The Russian Defense Ministry stated this, stating that Moscow's troops"thwarted seven enemy attacks in the north and north-west directions undertaken to escape the encirclement" of the Ukrainians."An operation to deploy a GUR (Ukrainian military intelligence) special operations group by helicopter 1 km northwest of Krasnoarmeysk was foiled. All 11 servicemen disembarked from the helicopter were neutralized." Responding to the Russian claims, a Ukrainian source told RBC that"Russian propaganda about the destruction of the military intelligence landing force and the encirclement of the city is another lie from the Russian occupiers."
