The outgoing prime minister will hand in his resignation to President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday morning, government sources said.
Specifically, 364 MPs voted against the confidence in the government, 194 were"for", while 25 elected representatives decided to abstain, writes France 24.
Proposed cuts in public spending, which Bayroux argued were needed to curb France's growing government deficit and debt, divided lawmakers and ultimately led to the ouster of yet another government.
Bajru thus leaves office after less than nine months and becomes the sixth prime minister in Macron's term. He became the first prime minister in the history of modern France whose government was overthrown by a vote of confidence, instead of no confidence.
Jean - Luc Mélenchon, MP and founder of the France Unconquered party, called for Macron's resignation.
"Bayrou has fallen. Victory and popular relief. Macron is now on the front line facing the people. He too must go," Mélenchon wrote on X.

Cyrille Chatelain, the president of the Green Party, described Francois Bayrou's downfall as a"relief" but also a "concern".
"We know that a political break with Emmanuel Macron's policy is possible. If Emmanuel Macron stops blocking, admits that the left (can come to power), then (balance) is possible. If the left is called to rule, it must be the entire left," said Chatelain, reports Figaro.
