"Audio clip" fuels the fire of the government "Paethongtarn" cuts off "Hun Sen" Academics assess "State Ship" stuck in Cambodia's trap, must prove the stability of the army, pointing out the caution of mobs in the country inciting nationalism
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dulyapak Preecharat, a lecturer in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, raised the issue of the government’s situation after the audio clip was released, saying, “The government must support the state ship. In the case of the coalition government, it affects the stability of Thai politics in the current situation where we are fighting with Cambodia. At the same time, the government is separated from the nation. Thais who are possessive of their sovereignty will feel disunified from the government. The audio clip that was released makes the Pheu Thai government work harder, and there is a tendency that Thais will protest because the flame of nationalism is starting to ignite.”

The release of the clip is a sign of some significance from the Cambodian side because normally leaders talk in secret diplomacy. However, the working group that connects Ms. Paetongtarn and Hun Sen, the release of the clip must have a hidden agenda that will lead to political results. If viewed from the Thai side, it shows an attack to reduce the credibility of the Thai Prime Minister until there are questions about whether he secretly made an agreement with the Cambodian side or not. And the content of the clip indicates that the Thai Prime Minister may not be one with the 2nd Army on the border. While on the Cambodian side, it is worth wondering what Hun Sen made an agreement with Thailand, but the Cambodian side is unlikely to lose more than Thailand.
Although Ms. Paetongtarn's press conference came out to respond that she may not directly contact Hun Sen during this time, we have to keep an eye on whether it is true or not.

It is important to keep an eye on the interests of the "Shinawatra" and "Hun" families that are linked to Thailand's sovereignty, because the audio clip that was released also created a political impact for Ms. Paethongtarn and challenged the image of the Pheu Thai government.
The Thai Prime Minister admitted that it was a real audio clip. We must admit that covering it up would not be good. But if he admitted it, it would become a big problem for the Pheu Thai government and the Shinawatra family. How can the country's sovereignty defense approach create confidence among the Thai people?
Because of the foreign policy of the Pheu Thai government since May 28 until today, there are 2 noticeable policies that have been implemented with Cambodia: 1. Being a good neighbor with Cambodia, with the relationship between the two families. 2. The policy of pleasing Cambodia, that is, if there is anything that Hun Sen wants to take political action on, the Thai government will be silent, believing that if Cambodia gets the popularity it wants in the country, it will stop on its own.
But today, it has begun to be seen that these 2 policies have started to be ineffective with Cambodia, because the pressure is directed at the Pheu Thai government, which has been too accommodating to Cambodia, to the point that it has caused Thailand to lose its sovereignty or not.
“The more there are clips of Paethongtarn talking to Hun Sen, some may say it was secret diplomacy. Even though it is said that the two families know each other, they came to talk to reduce conflict. But another perspective cannot escape that the government is too close to Hun Sen, more than some parties in Thailand.”

The release of the audio clip will affect the relationship between the government and the military, whether they will be able to fight with Cambodia or not, because some of the audio clips have sentences that were leaked, asking who is one of us. Therefore, now it is a matter of the international network of cronies between the Hun and Shinawatra families, even though the Thai Prime Minister insists on not directly contacting Cambodia.
"This matter, we have to ask Thaksin Shinawatra, who plays an important role in the government, because in the past, he has been more silent on this matter, without us knowing what he has discussed with Hun Sen. In fact, Paethongtarn must have discussed with Hun Manet. Even though Paethongtarn said that she talked with Hun Sen like talking to an uncle and a nephew, but what is important is that Thaksin must have discussed with Hun Sen more."
The government must respond in a way that will make Thai people more satisfied, and the government must use the mechanism of the National Security Council to divide the duties with the military more seriously, by letting the military go to the border or martial law along the border, which will make the government's role in working less strange.
