It is still too early to contact Bulgaria about the possible flight of Russian President Vladimir Putin's plane over its airspace on his way to Hungary, where he is due to meet with US President Donald Trump, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said.

"It's still early," he told RIA Novosti, in response to a question about whether the Foreign Ministry had had contacts on the aforementioned topic with Bulgaria and two other countries - Poland and Romania.

The aforementioned NATO countries separate Russia and Hungary. Romania borders directly with Hungary, and Bulgaria borders Serbia, which borders Hungary. Poland, followed by Slovakia, are located between Hungary and the Kaliningrad region, as is Belarus.

On October 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump held their eighth telephone conversation since the beginning of the year. After the 2.5-hour conversation, the Russian leader's aide Yuri Ushakov announced that Moscow and Washington would immediately begin preparing a new meeting of the leaders of the two countries, which could take place in Budapest. According to Ushakov, the Hungarian capital was suggested by the American leader, and the Russian president supported the idea.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that he has ordered the creation of an organizing committee to prepare for the summit in Budapest. According to him, this work began on Thursday evening, BGNES reported.
