Dominating the Bouregreg Valley, the Mohammed VI Tower in Rabat-Salé is entering the final phase of its construction, with the progressive completion of its podium and exterior landscaping. On the riverbank, a landscaped quay is nearing completion, while an imposing entrance gate now structures the main access to the complex.
Designed in a resolutely contemporary style yet rooted in the Moroccan architectural repertoire, the main entrance incorporates the elements of traditional arcades, with finely crafted plaster walls and ceilings. This grand, monumental gateway opens onto a vast landscaped area and a wide quay where teams are busy putting the finishing touches on the project. In the immediate vicinity of the bridge linking Rabat to Salé, the developers have also planned two large parks facing each other, creating a true urban plaza on either side of the tower. The banks of the Bouregreg River are thus benefiting from meticulous landscaping: two gardens will add a touch of greenery to the building's surroundings, with lawns, plantings, and marble terraces. In the evening, these spaces are enhanced by a contemporary architectural lighting system, highlighting the tower's lines and the quality of the exterior landscaping. The beautification of the surroundings, as well as the finishing work carried out inside and outside, are now nearing completion, as evidenced by the gradual commissioning of the lighting.
Reaching a height of 250 meters, the Mohammed VI Tower—with its 55 floors, visible from nearly 50 kilometers away—stands as a major new landmark on the Rabat-Salé skyline. This iconic project, particularly strategic due to its location in the heart of the Bouregreg Valley, required an initial investment estimated at at least 3.5 billion dirhams.
The project is being developed by O Tower, the dedicated project manager whose main shareholders are Bank of Africa, RMA, and the holding company FinanceCom. A hotel management agreement has been signed with the Hilton group for the operation of a Waldorf Astoria hotel within the tower. The Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé, slated to open soon, will be nestled in the heart of the building and will reinforce the project's upscale positioning.
Designed as a mixed-use complex, the tower will house offices, apartments, restaurants, retail spaces, and a panoramic viewpoint on the top floor, offering spectacular views of the Bouregreg, Rabat, Salé and their urban and landscaped surroundings.
