According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei warned of the dangerous consequences of the US’s lawless and aggressive unilateralism, which he said undermines both regional and global stability.

He strongly condemned the recent US military attacks on fishing boats in the Caribbean and Washington’s threats to use force against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Venezuela. Baghaei called these actions a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law.

The spokesman urged the United Nations Security Council and the UN Secretary-General to give immediate attention to the dangerous situation created by the US's insistence on interfering in the internal affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela—an independent member state of the UN.

Iran has repeatedly reaffirmed its solidarity with Venezuela and its people, emphasizing that Tehran supports the sovereignty, independence, and right of nations to determine their own destiny free from foreign pressure and coercion.
