The Lithuanians defeated Great Britain with a score of 94:70 (23:15, 18:18, 24:17, 29:20).

For the Lithuanian national team, Jons Valančūns scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Azoulas Tubelis had 17+7 in these statistics, Roks Jokubaitis scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds and gave six assists, Marģirs Normants also scored 12 points, and Arnas Veličkas had ten points and six assists.

Akwasi Yeboah scored 17 points for the British, while Tariq Philip and Miles Hesson each had ten points.

Also today in Tampere, world champion Germany will play against Montenegro, as well as host Finland's duel with Sweden.

Currently, the Czech Republic is playing Portugal in Riga, followed by Latvia and Turkey, and at the end of the day there will be a match between Serbia and Estonia. The first matches in two more subgroups in Poland and Cyprus will be played on Thursday.

The European Championship final tournament will feature 24 teams divided into four groups in late August and early September in Riga, Tampere, Katowice and Limassol. The top four teams from each group will qualify for the knockout tournament, which will be held only in Riga.
