Dmytro Lytvyn, an advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that talks between Ukrainian and American officials on proposals to end the war in Ukraine ended after more than five hours on Sunday and are scheduled to resume on Monday, according to Cairo News Channel.
Litvin added in a statement:"The talks lasted for more than five hours and ended with an agreement to resume them this morning," noting that Zelensky would comment on the talks on Monday as soon as they concluded.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a ceasefire along the front line would be a fair option.
The Ukrainian president added:"There will be compromises on peace proposals, and security guarantees must be legally binding. The security guarantees offered by Washington and Europe instead of Ukraine's NATO membership are a compromise," according to Reuters.
