(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporters Lee Dong-hwan and Kim Jun-tae = 64 Koreans detained by Cambodian authorities will arrive at Incheon International Airport at 8:00 AM on the 18th on a chartered flight from Phnom Penh.

The government joint response team dispatched to the area held a press conference in Phnom Penh on the 17th and announced that the chartered plane carrying them would depart for Incheon at 2:30 a.m. the next day, Korean time (0:30 a.m. local time).

A total of 64 Koreans are being repatriated, most of whom are suspects. Approximately 200 police officers will accompany them on a chartered plane to repatriate them.

Of the 64, 59 were arrested in a crackdown on scams by Cambodian authorities, while five were reportedly rescued after reporting themselves.

They will be arrested immediately upon boarding the chartered plane, and upon arrival at Incheon Airport, they will be taken to the relevant police station to be investigated for criminal charges.

Park Sung-joo, head of the National Investigation Headquarters, who attended the press conference, explained,"After entering the country, the National Police Agency has formed an additional 215-person airport response team to ensure safe movement."

Kim Jin-ah, Second Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of the joint government response team, announced that Cambodia has decided to provide a"blacklist" of Koreans deported to prevent re-entry of those involved in crimes.

Additionally, the two sides explained that they decided to pursue the formation of a 'Korea-Cambodia Joint Response TF' instead of establishing a 'Korean Desk' as a means of cooperation in responding to crime.
