"I reiterated this to all European leaders. I told them that we will not fight for decades, but that you must demonstrate that you will be able to provide stable financial support to Ukraine for a certain period of time," Zelensky said, ANSA notes.
"And that's why they're considering this program: 2-3 years," Zelensky added, referring to the European Commission's proposal to gradually unblock Russian assets to finance Ukraine.
Zelensky acknowledged that Russian forces had entered the city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine, which Moscow has been trying to capture for over a year.
"About 200 Russians are stationed there in different locations, we can see this from drones. Pokrovsk is currently the main target of the Russians," Zelensky told reporters.
