US Attack on Iran

International Reactions

247 - US President Donald Trump announced on Monday (23) a ceasefire in the conflict in the Middle East."In the next 24 hours, the world will see the 'end of the 12-day war'," the president declared."Iran and Israel agree to a 'total and complete' ceasefire."

In contrast to Trump's announcement, CNN reported shortly before, citing a senior Iranian official, that Iran"has not received any ceasefire proposal" and sees no reason to consider such a move.

The official said:"Right now, the enemy is committing aggressions against Iran, and we are on the verge of intensifying our retaliatory strikes, paying no attention to the lies of our adversaries." Any statement from the US and Israel would be classified by Iran as "a deception", the source added.

At least 950 people have died in Iran since the start of Israeli bombings on June 13, the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) said on Monday (23). The figures from the independent NGO are almost double the approximately 500 deaths estimated by Iranian authorities in 10 days of conflict.

Israel's ally, the US, attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities last Saturday (21). In retaliation, Iran struck the American air base Al Udeid, in Qatar (with Sputnik).
