A bus overturned near the northern Serbian town of Sremska Mitrovica, killing two people and injuring about 80 others, the Serbian Interior Ministry said, Serbian national television RTS reported, quoted by BTA.
The incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. local time (3:45 p.m. Bulgarian time) when the bus, which was transporting workers from the company"Heltcare", overturned for reasons that are currently unknown and fell through the ceiling into the ditch.
35 injured people are being treated at the multi-profile hospital in Sremska Mitrovica, local media report.
Police and ambulance teams are at the scene of the incident, as well as the prosecutor on duty from the Chief Prosecutor's Office in Sremska Mitrovica.
An investigation into the traffic accident is underway.
