Together in Group C of the 2026 World Cup, hosted in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19, 2026, Morocco and Haiti will face each other for the first time in the group stage, on June 24 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Fully aware of the challenge posed by the Moroccan national team, ranked 11th in the FIFA rankings, the former Cameroon coach is clear: “I worked in Africa for several years, and I closely follow the results of this Moroccan team. They are very strong. Morocco is currently on an eighteen-game winning streak. They have an excellent coach, Walid Regragui, and a very talented squad. There’s a lot of talk about Hakimi, Aguerd, Bounou, and Díaz, but it’s a high-quality, complete team,” he confided in an interview with Afrik-Foot.

To prepare for the World Cup, Migné announced that he will be in Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations (December 21, 2020 – January 18, 2026): I will spend about ten days in Morocco during the AFCON. First, to watch the matches of DR Congo, my friend Sébastien Desabre's team, but I will also take the opportunity to see the Atlas Lions play.

The Haitian coach finally praised the rise of the Moroccans: Morocco, since the 2022 World Cup, has reached a new level. They are a team capable of dictating the game, as is often the case in Africa, but also of absorbing pressure and striking very hard on the counter-attack, as they demonstrated in Qatar.
