Campeche. Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo yesterday condemned the violence that occurred in the nation's capital during the march of the so-called Generation Z, in which, she stressed,"there were very few young people."

“We emphasize the importance of guaranteeing peace in our country. We do not agree with the violent actions that occurred today (yesterday) in Mexico City during this demonstration. We condemn and denounce the violence,” he stated.

The only way to ensure all rights “is by guaranteeing peace,” he affirmed, later during the supervision of the Macuspana-Escárcega highway project.

In Jonuta, Tabasco, during the delivery of Benito Juárez Scholarships, the president explained that the transformation of the country was achieved peacefully, without breaking a single window.

He recalled that he and former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) marched many times and cited his exodus for democracy from Tabasco to Mexico City, when “he was subjected to electoral fraud to prevent him from becoming governor” of the state. “That is why today (yesterday), when there was a demonstration in Mexico City, where they say young people marched, but in reality there were very few, and where they violently removed some barriers and broke windows, we say no to violence.”

If one disagrees,"one must demonstrate peacefully; violence should never be used to bring about change, always through peaceful means," he stressed.

At that event, Mario Delgado, Secretary of Public Education, told her: “President, you gathered here in Jonuta more young people than those who tried to march in Mexico City, because education is what unites this generation.”

He warned that"there are some who want to deceive young people by hiring millions of bots to try to use them for their own purposes, so that privileges and corruption can return."

But “while they spend millions on bots, our President distributes millions of scholarships so that young people can exercise their right to study. While they call for filling the streets, but end up disappointed, our President calls for filling the schools.”

“While they incite violence, our schools teach a culture of peace and non-violence.” Delgado stated that “they want to give this generation a name, but this is the generation of the Rita Cetina Scholarship, of the Benito Juárez Scholarship; it is the generation with the most scholarship recipients and the most university students; it is the generation of the national high school system.”

Hours earlier, in Palizada, Campeche, the head of the Executive Branch assured that “when a government is close to the people, it never distances itself, there is nothing that can stop our homeland; I am sure that this year has gone well for us and that next year will go even better.”

He insisted that"when a people knows its history and its strength, there is nothing that can stop it."

During the distribution of aid from the Women's Welfare program, the governor emphasized her commitment to continuing the transformation initiated by AMLO. “When I took office (in 2024), they sent people to write to newspapers saying that ‘President Claudia surely has to break with López Obrador, because he was terrible for Mexico,’ thinking I was going to capitalize on that. Imagine that! No matter how much they write, we have principles and we are continuing the Fourth Transformation of public life,” the governor stressed.
