Iran fired a new wave of missiles at Israel early Sunday morning, continuing its attacks on the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The Israeli military said it had hit the headquarters of the Iranian Defense Ministry, infrastructure for nuclear weapons projects and other targets.

Iranian media also reported attacks on an oil depot in the Shahran district northwest of the capital, and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote on the X network that Tehran was burning.

Israel launched attacks on nuclear facilities, senior military figures and nuclear scientists, military targets and oil fields on Friday morning. Iran called this a declaration of war and launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel.

Saturday's attacks followed sharp mutual threats that had been hurled throughout the day, despite attempts at diplomacy, including from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to strike all Iranian regime sites and threatened that the attacks have only just begun.

At least three people are reported to have died in Iran's overnight missile attacks in Israel, while Iran's ambassador to the UN, Amir Said Iravani, reported nearly 100 deaths in Iran.

At least 800 people have been admitted to hospitals with injuries since the fighting began, according to the Iranian Health Ministry. On Saturday, Iranian officials confirmed that three more nuclear scientists - bringing the total number of nuclear scientists killed to nine - and two generals had been killed in the Israeli strikes.

The Israeli military announced on Saturday that it had killed more than 20 military commanders, including the head of the intelligence department in the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Gholamrez Mehrabi.

Iranian media reported that Tehran had informed France, Britain and the United States of possible attacks on their targets in the region if they continued to help defend Israel.
