Tunisia achieved a 3-0 victory over their hosts, Qatar, on Sunday, in the third (and final) round of Group A matches in the “Arab Cup 2025” tournament currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha.

Both teams were eliminated from the tournament early in the first round, after the Tunisian team raised its tally to 4 points in third place, one point behind the Palestinian and Syrian teams, who occupy the first and second places respectively, and who drew without goals at the same time, in the same round, while the Qatari team remained at the bottom of the standings with one point.

Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane opened the scoring for Tunisia in the 16th minute, while Yassine Meriah added the second goal in the 62nd minute, before the Tunisian team played with ten players after Seifeddine Jaziri was sent off in the 65th minute, after receiving his second yellow card.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Mohamed Ali added the third goal for the Tunisian national team in the fourth (and final) minute of stoppage time in the second half.
