"I had a lot of deadlines, but if everything goes well, they usually get extended. But Thursday is the right day," the American president assured.

The peace plan – according to Western media reports – was supposedly prepared during consultations between the Kremlin's representative Kirill Dmitriev and Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff. The talks took place in October in Miami.

Axios has obtained access to the assumptions of the 28-point US peace plan. According to the media outlet, the Americans"expect" that Russia will not invade neighboring countries.

Ukraine is to receive"solid security guarantees," but must relinquish part of its territory. The country will have to include in its constitution its lack of aspirations to join NATO, but will have an open path to the European Union.

The government in Kyiv will be obliged to hold elections within 100 days. Russia will be"reintegrated into the world economy" and will be able to return to the G8. Washington will sign a long-term economic cooperation agreement with Moscow.

The size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to be limited to 600,000 soldiers. All parties to the conflict will be granted amnesty for acts committed during the war and will not make any future claims concerning them.

Additionally, Russia, Europe and Ukraine are to conclude a comprehensive non-aggression agreement." All ambiguities of the last 30 years are considered clarified" - we read in one of the first points of the agreement proposed by the US.

Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Trump's peace plan during a speech on Friday. He noted that Ukraine is currently" in one of the most difficult moments in its history."

- We are facing a difficult choice: the loss of the main partner or the dignity of Ukraine - he argued, emphasizing that" he will not betray the national interest" and will not allow Russia to make accusations of "hindering the peace process".

Zelensky admitted that he expected"significant political pressure." He indicated that the coming week "will be difficult for Ukraine." Earlier, the leader had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Shortly afterward, the Elysee Palace reported that all participants in the talks agreed that a potential peace agreement must" include Ukraine, protect its sovereignty and guarantee its future security."
