Representatives of Ukraine who participated in meetings with the American side over the weekend in Geneva are returning to Kyiv to discuss a plan to end the war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on a social network following a conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Sture.

The leaders of Ukraine and Norway discussed the diplomatic situation and bilateral cooperation. Zelensky thanked for advice and support.

"Norway, as always, helps," Zelenskyy noted.

At the same time, he told Stere about the initial results of the advisors' work in Geneva.

"Our delegation is now returning home, and I am expecting a full report this evening on the progress of the negotiations in Geneva and the key emphases of the partners. Based on the results of the reports, we will determine further steps and timing," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President added that coordination with Europe and other partners in the world will continue."We count on achieving the necessary results, and I am grateful to everyone who is with Ukraine," the head of state noted.

Negotiations in Geneva

As UNIAN reported, on November 23, separate events took place in Geneva (Switzerland). Meeting of delegations of Ukraine and the United States, as well as representatives of leading European countries. At these meetings, 28-point proposals for ending the war submitted to Ukraine were discussed. The provisions of these points repeated the demands of the Russian Federation, which continues a full-scale war against Ukraine.

Following the meeting Ukraine and the United States issued a joint statement . Both countries acknowledged that the consultations were productive. Ukraine and the United States reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a lasting and just peace. In this regard, following the negotiations, the parties prepared an updated and revised framework document for peace.

On November 23, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and member of the Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov stated that the current the document's version already reflects most of the key Ukrainian priorities.
