Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian armored attack near Dobropolje
The Ukrainian Azov Brigade announced today that its forces repelled a large Russian armored attack near the city of Dobropolje in eastern Ukraine. According to the brigade, Russia tried to break through the lines with more than 20 armored vehicles, but the Ukrainian army destroyed nine vehicles and halted the advance, Reuters reported.
The Azov Brigade specified that the attack was aimed at capturing the village of Shahov, east of Dobropolje. A video of the fighting was also released from a location near the village of Malinivka in the Donetsk region, about 13 kilometers south of Shahiv. The Ukrainian General Staff did not specifically mention this attack, but stated that it was conducting"stabilizing" operations in the area.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the successes of his forces near Dobropolje as proof of Ukraine's ability to"resist Russian pressure." A Russian military blogger who goes by the name "Military Whistleblower" admitted that Russian forces had tried to expand their position, but added that Ukrainian forces spotted and hit the armored column before it reached the front line.
The Ukrainian army announced that in recent months it has regained about 182 square kilometers of territory in that region.

Orban: European resistance hampers US peace efforts
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that the war between Russia and Ukraine is"seriously stifling" European economic development, but that if the war ends, economic growth in Europe could triple in a"very short time".
He pointed out that the Ukrainian resistance at the front was a"heroic success", but that Ukraine is still losing territories and that its economy depends on European aid, MTI reported.
Orbán claims that Europe bears a large burden of financing Ukraine, while the United States of America actually has no financial interest in the war, as it continues to profit from arms sales.

Orban: Negotiate with Russia
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Europe must independently negotiate with Russia in order to reach a peace agreement and build a new European security architecture, and not wait for the outcome of the American-Russian agreements.
Speaking at the plenary meeting of the Hungarian Permanent Conference (MAERT) in Budapest, Orbán pointed out that the issue of war and peace in Ukraine is currently the most urgent issue of European politics, especially for the countries of the Carpathian Basin, MTI reported.
"The risk of Europe being drawn into the conflict is greater today than at any time since the beginning of the war," warned Orbán, stressing that the Hungarian proposal for a solution is negotiation.
He added that, although Ukraine is a key issue in any agreement, it is not the most important. According to him, a wider European discussion is needed on the issue of weapons, the size of the army and the construction of a new security system with monitoring mechanisms, because, as he stated, some previous agreements on weapons have already been violated.
