Gaza Ceasefire - Implementation and Return Home

Machado Dedicates Prize to Trump and Their Communication

"President Trump will continue to make peace agreements, end wars, and save lives. He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him again, who can move mountains with the power of his will alone," Cheung wrote.

Trump has repeatedly described himself as a peacemaker - in his address to the UN General Assembly in mid-September, he said that he had ended seven wars around the world, and a week later, in an address to US military leaders, he announced that he would also end the eighth if the Palestinian movement Hamas accepted his peace plan for Gaza, which happened in recent days.

The American president expressed his expectation that the Peace Prize would be awarded to someone else, which he described as an insult to the United States.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced in Oslo today that this year's Peace Prize will be awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado"for her tireless work in promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy."

Earlier in the night, the US President shared several links to articles and videos from various media outlets on his social network Truth Social, in which article authors, political commentators, and organizations advocated that he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Netanyahu dissatisfied

Trump has received several nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize, including from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and senior political figures from Rwanda, Gabon, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Cambodia. However, most of the nominations were made after the official deadline for nominations for this year's prize, February 1, just ten days into Trump's second term as president.

Meanwhile, the Italian right-wing League party submitted a proposal to parliament today for the government in Rome to officially nominate Trump for next year's peace prize.

Netanyahu reiterated his position today in a post on the X network that Trump should receive the Nobel Prize."The Nobel Committee talks about peace. President Trump is making it happen. The facts speak for themselves," he wrote.

Putin"cheering" for Trump

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin also spoke about this in a statement to the media in Tajikistan."It is not my job to judge whether the US president deserves the Nobel Prize - I don't know. But he really does a lot to resolve these complex crises that have been going on for years, even decades," he said. He also criticized the Nobel Committee for repeatedly awarding the prize to"people who have done nothing for peace."
