As soon as the door opened, it was crowded with residents who came to apply for the livelihood coupons. Most of them were elderly people.

The majority of residents who applied for the livelihood coupons said they would use them to buy groceries or daily necessities.

On this day, about 70 people flocked to the Guam-dong Administrative Welfare Center within 30 minutes of the start of accepting applications for livelihood coupons.
Some people mistakenly came to the wrong place because they thought the application date was the last digit of their date of birth instead of their year of birth. Some citizens even turned back because of the long waiting line.
Ms. Choi (62), who came with her daughter, said,"There are too many people waiting, so I plan to apply next time."

As soon as the Dalseo-gu Jincheon-dong Administrative Welfare Center opened, about 200 people flocked to the building, crowding the 2nd to 4th floors.

On this day, it was discovered that several system errors occurred at an administrative welfare center in Dong-gu, including the identities of some residents who came to apply for livelihood coupons not being checked in the computer system.
A Dong-gu official said,"There were cases where minors could not be searched through the computer system," and "we instructed them to write the application forms by hand."
The Sindang-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Dalseo-gu had trouble receiving applications due to problems with the internet cables caused by recent rain.
Because of this, residents who had been waiting since early in the morning protested to the staff.
On this day, residents experienced inconvenience due to delays in accessing credit card companies' websites that allow online applications.
Mr. Kim (40) said,"I tried accessing the website on my phone this morning and the website was down," and added,"It seems like it's because there are so many people applying, but I'm going to try again later."
In addition, each district and county received a series of phone calls asking questions such as, “Can overseas residents receive livelihood coupons?”, “What should I do if my parents are in a nursing home?”, and “Who should receive the coupons for minors?”
