President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi invited German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to participate in the celebrations that Egypt will host to mark the signing of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

President Sisi reviewed the details of the agreement reached on the 8th of this month in Sharm El-Sheikh. He also presented Egypt's vision for the next phase and the mechanisms for implementing the agreement, which is based on US President Donald Trump's plan. He stressed the importance of preserving the role and status of the Palestinian Authority and creating the appropriate conditions for establishing a Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
