During a banquet in honor of US President Donald Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom, King Charles III recalled joint efforts to support Ukraine in its resistance to aggression.

The event took place at Windsor Castle, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"In two world wars, we fought together to defeat the forces of tyranny. Today, when tyranny again threatens Europe, we and our allies stand together in support of Ukraine to deter aggression and secure peace," said Charles III.

He also spoke highly of Donald Trump's peace efforts.

"Our countries are working together to support decisive diplomatic efforts, not least, Mr. President, your personal commitment to finding solutions to some of the world's most complex conflicts to secure peace," the British monarch emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, Donald Trump is on his second state visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of King Charles III.
