The newly appointed Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Johann Wadeful, during his official visit to Ukraine, met with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, and handed over another package of assistance to the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. I am very glad to meet you in Ukraine and would like to express my gratitude to the people and government of the Federal Republic of Germany for the support you have provided us during this large-scale war. Ukraine has been fighting for freedom for almost 3.5 years and we always feel the strong shoulder of the German people. And when we talk about assistance, we do not only mean material or technical assistance, first of all we are talking about saving the lives of our people, Klymenko emphasized.

He said that thanks to the comprehensive support of official Berlin, the Ministry of Internal Affairs units received assistance that contributes to a rapid response to threats, protection of critical infrastructure, countering enemy UAVs, demining, ensuring public order, and documenting war crimes. Separately, Igor Klymenko thanked for assistance in the field of radiation, chemical, and biological protection, as these means are vital, especially during the elimination of the consequences of attacks on industrial facilities.

The minister also noted Germany's assistance in special equipment, which allows for rapid clearing of rubble and rescuing people at the sites of Russian attacks.

This equipment works where it should work. I want to thank you once again for the support we have been receiving from you since the beginning of the full-scale war. Thank you for your solidarity and faith in Ukraine. I believe that our partnership will continue to strengthen, - added Klymenko.

In turn, Vadeful assured that his country is steadfast in its position and will continue to support Ukraine and provide the necessary assistance.

For more than three years, Ukraine has been defending itself from the Russian Federation's war of aggression, which is being waged in violation of international law, and Germany and free Europe support Ukraine in this struggle. By coming here, we want to show that we stand steadfastly on your side and will continue to provide support. In addition to words, of course, concrete help is needed, and we support you with appropriate equipment and equipment. This transfer is a symbolic act and should once again demonstrate that Germany stands on the side of Ukraine, - stressed Wadeful.

The parties inspected the transferred vehicles, which will be used for logistical support of border units, as well as for the work of mobile fire groups protecting civilian and critical infrastructure facilities.
