The IDF has launched new attacks on targets belonging to Hamas in southern Gaza on Sunday evening.
At the same time, Israel is halting emergency aid to Gaza indefinitely, writes Reuters.
The announcement comes after Israel carried out several airstrikes on Rafah in Gaza during the day – in response to Hamas shelling of Israeli troops.
"Strong action"
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered “strong action against terrorists in Gaza” and the IDF has issued an urgent warning to Gaza residents not to cross the “yellow line,” which is the line to which the Israeli military has withdrawn.
Hamas has denied violating the ceasefire and claims that it is not involved in the shelling of the Israeli soldiers.
