"The meeting will discuss the possibilities for achieving peace and ending the rule of the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the enclave," he said during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Negotiations on the next stages of Trump's plan to end the two-year war in the Palestinian enclave are underway. The plan also includes the release of Israeli hostages and the establishment of a technical Palestinian interim government in Gaza, controlled by an international peace committee and supported by international peacekeeping forces.

"At the end of the month, I will have very important discussions on how to ensure that the second phase is realized," Netanyahu added.

He also said that the first phase of Trump's plan is almost complete.

Netanyahu says that"possibilities for peace are within reach" and that he will discuss with the US president "how to end the rule of Hamas in Gaza, because that is a key part of securing a different future for Gaza."

He says that the third phase will be the " deradicalization of Gaza", which, he points out, was done in Germany after the Second World War.

Germany, Japan, it is carried out in the Gulf countries and it can be done in Gaza," he said.

This process was not explained in detail by the Israeli prime minister, but it refers to"reducing the influence of extremist groups and promoting a more stable, less radical society."
